Gray coverage and root touch-ups in Beverly Hills.
At OLLIN Beverly Hills we cover gray with all-over color ($150–200) and blend it with highlights, so the regrowth line is softer. Book online or call (424) 204-9095. We're at 8912 W Olympic Blvd, Tuesday to Saturday.
Gray coverage or gray blending?
Cover it if you want no gray at all. Permanent all-over color hides it, and because hair grows about half an inch a month, the roots need a touch-up every four to six weeks. Blend it if you'd rather let it come through softly and come in less often: highlights and softer tones work the gray into your color instead of hiding it, and touch-ups stretch to six to eight weeks or longer.
Root color and touch-ups
A root touch-up covers new growth and matches it to the rest of your color, so only the regrowth is colored each visit. A shade a little lighter than your old color usually makes the regrowth line less obvious; your colorist weighs that against your skin tone.
Highlights or balayage for gray?
Highlights can blend gray close to the root, where it grows in. Balayage leaves more of the root untouched. Where your gray is decides which works.
